20 December: Jazz with Eluka
Eluka, a young jazzy trio from Cape Town, performs on the 20 of December. Eluka writes their own, fresh, folk-rock and jazz compositions, as well as covering some evergreen tunes from the familiar spectrum of popular jazz. The group consists of a brother and sister rhythm section, Inez (drums) and Gawie Du Toit (bass and vocals), and Gideon Malherbe (guitar and vocals). Guest artists includes Josh Butcher, guitar, and Raoul Spiegel, flute.

27 December: Crannog: Cajun and Irish Folk
Dave Nissen (vocal, guitar) & Steffi Goulde (fiddle) are Crannog.
Crannog will play their haunting and uplifting mixture of folksy Irish- and Cajun material on the 27th of December. Dave Nissen (vocal, guitar) & Steffi Goulde (fiddle) are Crannog: Nissen is a legendary veteran of the industry with a long and illustrious solo career. Some crowds know him for his spirited contributions in the immensely popular tributes to Creedence Clearwater Revival and Eric Clapton, others know him for his lovely Irish compositions.

3 January: Jazz with the Pringle-Ramon trio & Flying Ants
The Pringle / Ramone trio heads the program on the 3rd of January 2004. This recently formed Stellenbosch based jazz band plays original compositions based on improvisational material. A variety of cover tunes, including standards made popular by singers like Sara Vaughn and fresh interpretations of songs by, amongst others, Bob Dylan and the Beatles, also feature prominently in their repertoire. The band members are Ramon Alexander on keyboard, John Pringle on drums, and Heinie Jack on bass. These guys are a highly accomplished trio good at keeping things loose and fun. Guests will include vocalist Jacques Coetzee and a saxophonist.
The ‘Flying Ants’, consisting of guitarist Roy MacGregor and singer Jacques Coetzee wil provide relaxed jazzy-folksy-Afro rhythms and soaring vocal lines. They write their own material, a uniquely South African blend of folk, reggae and African influences. Coetzee is a classically trained tenor,and has recently completed a masters in creative writing at UCT. Roy is a veteran of the music scene in Johannesburg. A refreshing take in the singer-songwriter genre.

Background music before each concert will by acoustic solo guitarists Johann Kotze (22,27,3 - contemporary instrumental), Rob Bolton (22 - Rags, light jazz, light classical) and Winton Palmer(27- contemporary instrumental).
